Kozak

Kozak is a Ukrainian armored personnel carrier that was developed to meet the needs of the Ukrainian army and security forces. It was first introduced in 2014, when the conflict began in the east of Ukraine. The creation of the Kozak armored personnel carrier was a response to the need to have a reliable vehicle capable of to protect the crew from mines and small arms, as well as to ensure rapid movement in combat conditions.

Currently, the Kozak armored personnel carrier manufacturer has put into service the following modifications:

Kozak 2 is an armored vehicle built on an Iveco Eurocargo 4×4 chassis with a rear rigid suspension. Weight - 15.0 tons. Introduced in 2015. Adopted by the NSU (2016) and ZSU (2017).

Kozak 2M is an armored car with a continuous monocoque body, without a frame, on which a fully independent suspension is installed. Mass - 12.0 tons. Introduced in 2016. Adopted by the NGU and ZSU (2019). Also presented were modifications - Kozak 2M.1 and Kozak 2M.2

Kozak 4 is an armored version of the Land Rover Defender with a 2.8-liter Cummins diesel engine with a capacity of 165 hp, introduced in 2016.

Kozak 5 is an armored vehicle built on the Ford F-550 4×4 chassis. Weight — 10.0 tons. Introduced in 2016.

Kozak 7 is a general-purpose armored vehicle based on the Ford F-550 chassis

Cossack: technical specifications

Coszak is a machine that is built on the basis of the chassis of a commercial machine, but has a significantly modified design. It is equipped with an armored body that provides protection against bullets and debris. The armoring is carried out according to the STANAG 4569 Level 2 standard, which provides protection from 7.62 - mm of armor-piercing bullets.
