Varta 2
In recent years, the Ukrainian defense industry has demonstrated a high level of engineering solutions and adaptability to the challenges of war. A striking example of this is Varta 2, a new generation combat armored vehicle created by the Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company. It is a logical continuation of the first Varta, but in essence it is a completely new platform that takes into account the experience of many years of operating equipment in frontline conditions.

Design differences of the Varta 2 armored vehicle
Unlike its predecessor, which was built on a MAZ truck chassis with a frame structure, the new Varta vehicle has a load-bearing armored body with an integrated modern Base modular chassis. This approach has significantly reduced weight, increased maneuverability, and provided a better level of protection.
The ballistic protection complies with NATO STANAG 4569 Level 3, which guarantees resistance to 7.62×51 mm armor-piercing bullets, as well as an 8 kg TNT explosion under the bottom or wheel. An important element is the double bottom with a suspended floor and energy-absorbing anti-mine seats, which save the lives of the crew during explosions.
Firepower and armament
The Varta armored vehicle can be equipped with a remotely controlled combat module “Sich” with a 30 mm automatic cannon, a machine gun, and anti-tank weapons. This allows the vehicle not only to transport troops, but also to effectively support infantry in combat, engage lightly armored enemy vehicles, and even participate in fire support for offensive operations.
